iPod nano 2nd Generation (2 GB)

Dimensions:
90x40x6.5 mm 40 g
Price:
US$149(silver)

For starters the iPod nano is a mid-range iPod digital audio player designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was first introduced on September 7, 2005 and combines features of both the iPod shuffle and iPod classic.

Features
Instead of the hard disk used in the iPod classic, the nano uses flash memory. This means there are no moving parts, making the iPod nano immune to skipping.

The iPod nano works with iTunes on Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows (third-party software is available for platforms that Apple does not support). It connects through the same connector as the other iPod series, using a USB 2.0 port on the user's computer and can charge its battery. The iPod nano includes a stop watch and a multiple time zone clock function. There is also a combination lock feature that makes use of the click wheel to lock the iPod, and serves to secure the user's calendar and contact information. It was also the first iPod to include a new lyrics screen, modifiable using iTunes.

THE GOOD:
  • Sleek design
  • Portability
  • User friendly
  • Ability to keep all of your songs in one place

THE BAD:

  • Battery life (Depending on which model you choose.)
  • Scratches easily
Despite the bad points this is still the daddy of all mp3 players. So what if it scratches a bit - you listen to it not look at it right ?? Battery life is not that bad as its made out to be. Its very easy to get to your music and it sounds great on a system or through headphones and that is ultimately what this all about. When it was working I could not really complain. The other annoying thing was that I had a lot of hassle with their software and some songs were louder then the other so I have to keep changing the volume, that was very inconvenient when I was on the moveLook at all the others, check out the reviews, study the prices hard then ignore all of that and buy one of these - you won't regret it (am not) !! ...
